Baby Me!

This week I have been looking at all my baby things, in a box that my mother has kept for me to look back on! Well I found all sorts and this surprised me because my mother isn't really the one to keep things for me or remember stuff from when I was little. So when I was looking through this box a was pleasantly surprised to say the least.
Don't you ever think about what you did when you was a baby and who you met along the way but you just can't remember them? I always seemed to wonder from being little why we couldn't remember being born yet everyone that was there can which as always fascinated me. Yes we could watch the VCR tapes and everything like but I never got the sense that i was there and I so want to be.

These were my first pair of shoes that only lasted me 2 months!! I must have grown fast! Haa.

I still to this day have my oldest childhood toys that are still on my bed! Yes I do still sleep with my toys. I feel I still do this because it keeps me safe (well I think it keeps me safe) in my head if I have them in bed with my whilst I am sleeping no one can touch me. Am I the only 20 year old that does that or?

This was my mum's rag doll that she has had since she was 16, she gave it to me when I was around about 8 years old and I still have to sleep with it at night. I will pass this down to my daughter. As you can tell with the picture it's tatty but it gives me the sense of comfort.

This is the toy I got from Disney Land Paris when I went for my 3rd birthday. Before you judge me we lived in Germany and it was only a short drive there. However I did have the Mickey to this Minnie but I lost him in the move and I was gutted. Because let's face it what's Minnie without Micky!

This is the cat that I have had since the age of 3. It doesn't have a name so I think I just called it cat, however I apparently went everywhere with this teddy and I wouldn't leave it alone. I still have to sleep with this one, and it also smells like my childhood which is really weird because childhood doesn't have a smell but this reminds reminds me of my childhood and happy times that I had.

This is the teddy I have had since I was born so this is like one of my oldest teddy's but I won't say favorite because then all the other teddies will get angry. (sometimes I wonder if I am 20 or not haa!) This teddy has lost all it's 'stuffing' so to speak in the middle of him so his head flops back all the time. But this one I always sleep with and even bring him to watch telly with me late at night or in the morning.

Here are some more pictures of what I found in my box. I hope that this post has made you go and dig out your baby box because you never know what you might find. I know I had fun!

This is the outfit I came home in when I left the hospital after I was born!

This is something I found that I wasn't quite sure of but my mum said it something that someone gave my parents as a gift and they hung it on the door to my bedroom.

This is a tee that someone has made me. I laughed so hard when I found this because I look like I have an affro! Plus I look like a monkey! I'm rocking the '94 baby look!

These are the tags that I had on my ankle and wrist when I was born. They are so tiny! I didn't think I was that small! Haa, I wonder what happened to my cuteness! ;)

This is the box where my mum keeps all my little bit's and pieces which is really sweet and really cute. It warmed my heart when I saw this.

Reflective Sunday

I don't know about you guys but I have taken the time out to think about my week this Sunday. This is because I don't normally do this because I always feel that looking back on your time is getting you nowhere and that you should keep looking forward so that you can achieve your goals.
However looking back on the week I have had I feel that I have achieved something that I thought that I would never do but I wouldn't have realised that I had achieved this unless I looked back. This felt so liberating; like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders.
With the clocks going back and the weather coming towards Winter weather I feel that I have spent my Sunday well, with thinking about my past week. I think that everyone should do this once in a while because you feel that your week is complete and finished; well that's how I feel anyway.

With the rain beating down outside I love to sit down and look out of the window and thank the lord that I am not out there.

With the leafs changing colour I feel all Autumn'y and love getting dressed up into my Autumn clothes. But it does show you that (inbetween the lines) that people also change but deep down their roots are still the same.

Adding fairy lights to my living-room make's it feel more homely and I feel a lot warmer and cosy when they are lit on a Autumn night.

I must admit I'm not a candle lover when it is the Summer months, however when it starts to come to Autumn and Winter there is nothing better than a nice candle to keep the relaxing mood of a room rather than a lamp or a 'big' light.

Everyone Deserves A Pamper Afternoon!

So by the title of this blog, you might have guessed that I have had a pamper afternoon, which has been really fun! I always think that we need a brake from everyday life. We all need a brake now and again, because you have to restore all your qualities so by having a pamper afternoon/evening with our friends or on our own. Me personally I like to be on my own because I have time to think and relax, but on the other hand I do like to have pamper evenings with my friends so I can have a gossip. (who doesn't!!)

However today I was on my own, so to say.. The person who pampered me today was my friend so I could have a little gossip. She was very professional in her line of work, and I was happy with the results. However it was my first time in waxing, so I found that Zoe was able to help me with a little trick that she has learnt herself which really did help! I would seriously recommend her to anyone first time people or people that are used to waxing.

I will put all her contact details below so you can contact Zoe if you would like anything done :) I will also upload her price list as she has very reasonable prices.

I set the mood by putting on my new candle that changes colour when it is lit! This really relaxed me more than anything!

She a mobile service and comes to your house on time. She has everything of her own and the bed is VERY comfy!!

Very comfortable and relaxed, check me getting my legs waxed for the first time!

These are my eyebrows before I let  Zoe get to them! I am the WORST person in the world to keep my eyebrows in shape!!!

These are my eyebrows after Zoe has waxed, plucked and shaped them I am so happy with the result!

Zoe's Facebookhttps://www.facebook.com/zoe.edwardson.1?ref=ts&fref=ts please feel free to give her a message to ask about prices and slots if you want her to do any treatments at all!

River Island Sale's Fashion Haul

 River Island - Sale £15.00
This is a Jumper I found in the sale. Which may I add was a 'bargin' as us Brit's say. I saw it instantly and thought " I HAVE to have that!!"
It's a really nice soft fabric which I thought was bonus because there is nothing better than a nice Autumn/Winter jumper that is warm and soft at the same time! I got a size 14 because I wanted the jumper to be a little bigger than a normal jumper so I could wear it with legging's and I could wear it anytime. anyplace. I thought that you can wear this to go and see your friends in town or just catching up over coffee which is another reason why I got it because there is nothing worse than going to see your friends or go on a shopping spree' and your uncomfortable in what you are wearing! So I thought that this would be a really nice addition to your wardrobe this Autumn, plus it adds a little colour, whilst everyone else is in neutral colours which makes your stand out even more. So I would get this if you wanted to stand out and your comfy so you have got a really good deal there.

River Island - Sale
Disco Pants (Navy) £17.00
Top (Blue/Black) £10.00
I thought that these two things would go nicely together, as the top also has a lighter blue in. The material that the top is made in is really nice, and doesn't irritate your skin at all, plus the neck line is really close to your throat I would have thought that it would have strangled me but I found that you can't really feel it against your throat. And I picked it up because I normally don't go for tops like this, because of the neck line but because it has a key hole cut in the front and in the back I thought that it might be a nice top to wear that didn't feel that it was strangling me. I thought that this would be a nice top to wear with jeans as well as disco pants or leggings.
The Disco Pant's I thought that these would be really baggy like the ones I have got before, but I found that these's disco pant's really fit me well and the material that they are made out of are really nice and smooth and yet again it doesn't irritate your skin. However I did need my friend to help me zip them up. I got these in a size 10 because I got a size 12 before and they were just really baggy around my bum area and I had to always pull them up. Where as these (once up and zipped) I didn't have to pull them up once, so I would wear these on a night out and not worry about having to pull them up once.

River Island - Sale £15.00
I saw this dress when I was in the queue to pay for the other things I had got when I saw the colour of the dress. Now I'm a sucker for pink so I was drawn to it, but once I picked it up I couldn't put it back down. The fact that it has a cute little lace collar which I yet again I wouldn't normally go for but I couldn't help myself getting this little piece. I found that the colour is very summery which doesn't really fit into the fashion of the season but I feel that I could wear this to family parties such as my cousins party or something. I found that this dress was easy enough to put on and you didn't have to breath in a much as I did when I was putting on the Disco Pants, and it was a really 'floaty' and the material used is also really nice against your skin. I teamed the dress with some tights and some cute little pink dollie shoes because I am really tall so it would be too short. I feel that the belt really helped brake the dress up which does not come with the dress. I simply got a brown one as I thought that black would be too much for the dress and the whole outfit.

What Is The Meaning Of Life?

Well. I don't know about you guys, but lately I have been thinking to myself; what is the meaning of life? Why are we here doing what we are doing? So really I have been going through a bit of a Existential Crisis...

Is the meaning of life looking back on your past, what you have done and why you did that particular thing at that time? I really think that we do everything for a reason, but that doesn't help me understand why we are doing the things we have to do. What is the point in having a life when all you are doing is working towards your death and everyone you know and love will eventually die and leave you. This is what I think every day, which makes simple things in every day life really hard for me.

Sometime I can just come in from work and lie on the floor for hours because I am trying to think of everything in my life and it comes down to people leaving me when they die. Yes its a bit deep but really, I haven't a clue how too get out of it. Maybe in time I will come to where I want to be in my life and then I will snap out of it but for now I am just looking into my past because I haven't a clue what the future holds and it scares the HELL out of me, this is why it is really hard for me to go out and see my friends..

I have to force myself out of the house, into the scary big world to see them and then sometimes I'm not even the best company. This could be the reason I don't have very many friends, if I have any at all that is. Facing people is just too much energy that I don't have. However the friends that I do have, understand what I am going through and they bear with me whilst I come out of this Existential Crisis and will be there for me when I understand where I am in life.

In the mean time though, I am still going to be contemplating everything that is happening and why it is happening, and will cry myself to sleep at night. But seriously, what even is life? I don't know and I am trying to find out what my life means and all the people in it. I just seem to always be looking back because that's where I feel safe.

Foundation Thursday.

Rimmel London: Match Perfection SPF 18

It's not really that common that I find a foundation that suits my skin colour, but that also is a really nice foundation to wear on your skin. This however is one of the best foundations I have ever got. I found that this bottle in the picture lasted me a long time (as you can see the writing is rubbing off!)

This has lasted me around about 7/8 weeks and it is such a light weight foundation. I found that it was really easy to apply onto my skin, and once it was on I didn't really need to rub it in more because it seemed to do this all on it's own as well as help by my foundation brush.

However I did notice that it did make my face a little patchy around my cheekbones so I had to top it up, but I have been wearing the foundation since that morning and most of the foundations I have got seem to do that a lot. But a two minute touch up didn't harm me and I didn't mind doing it.

The smell of the foundation was a really nice as far as 'foundation smell's' go, and I was really surprised that you didn't really need a lot of it to make your skin 'blemish free' so you wasn't using half a bottle on your face to make it look like you have 'blemish free' skin. It has a really easy nose for you to get an easy application over your skin. However I don't put it directly onto my skin, I put it on the brush so I'm not using that much of the foundation which is a handy tip there for you!

I got number 201 which is Classic Beige. I chose that colour as it was a little darker than my normal colour I go for because I had a little tan, so I didn't want my face to be white and my neck to be brown, so if you match your foundation colour to your neck colour as you are able to blend in better and not have a line around your neck where your foundation ends. Also I found that it was easy to remove and it came off in one wipe. This is very handy for me seeing as I am always rushing to get to bed.

I would recommend this foundation to anyone who doesn't like heavy foundations, and doesn't like to feel like they have make-up on all the time.
